Want-to’s and Have-to’s
I want to:
- Lay in the sun and finish The Unbearable Lightness of Being. (Not happening since the bright sunshiny day outside is only a cover for a chillingly cold January wind.)
- Start a new crafty craft project. (Which will only add to the clutter in my house.)
- Make Forrest Gump jokes with Bill. (Always a favorite pasttime of ours.)
- See my nieces, who are growing up way too fast without me. (The one I might be able to convice Bill to do this evening.)
I have to:
- Get the new shelving unit up in the kitchen. (Two man project)
- Get the nude Christmas tree out of the living room. (Again, not going to attempt this one solo.)
- File, organize, declutter my office. (Can you say “CAVE… OF… DOOM”?)
- Do dishes. (Blah.)
- Do laundry. (More blah.)
Maybe if I alternated the chores with the fun? But who am I kidding, I’d wind up never leaving the sewing machine or put an end to playing school with the girls.
