Ironic (In the Alanis Morrisette sense)
- As we are driving to Oklahoma.
- Bill: I got new windshield wipers, too.
- Me: Good, you needed them.
- Bill: Yeah, not that we'll see any rain anyway.
- Twelve hours later.
- Me: Was that thunder?
- Bill: (to the window) Yup.
- Not all that amusing or ironic, just a way to say that we did indeed make it to Oklahoma safe and sound. We're staying 20 miles away from the city we're meant to be in, but that's okay. They caught Shiloh's murderer yesterday about 4pm and that made the drive in much less dour. We have one last court date for custody today; the services for the Oklahoma family will be tomorrow.
